On March 2, 2010, the new cast of Broadway’s Tony Award-winning Best Play, God of Carnage took the stage at the Bernard Jacobs Theatre. The new cast of Broadway production: Tony and Olivier Awards-winner and original cast member of West End production of God of Carnage Janet McTeer (Veronica); Tony nominee and original Broadway cast member Jeff Daniels (Michael);00 Tony nominee Dylan Baker (Mauritius); Lucy Liu (Annette). After receiving rave reviews in London, GOD OF CARNAGE opened on Broadway March 22, 2009 to unanimous praise. Jeff Daniels originated the role of Alan’ in the original Broadway production of God of Carnage, for which he received a Tony nomination. In a rare casting twist, he will return to the show to play the role of Michael.’ Janet McTeer created the role of Veronica’ in the London premiere of the play (2008, director Matthew Warchus). The Yasmina Reza comedy won the Tony Award for Best Play and Best Direction of a Play (Matthew Warchus). GOD OF CARNAGE also won the 2009 Olivier Award for Best New Comedy.
